Community Comes Together for “Our Stories Through Art” Event

On October 24, the OSTA Project hosted a vibrant evening of creativity, storytelling, and community connection at Art Bop Beer Co. for a special event to celebrate Our Stories Through Art. The event took place alongside the quarterly Talent Art Walk, bringing local artists and neighbors together for a night that showcased Talent.

A Celebration of Art, Storytelling, and Community

Attendees explored the vision behind Our Stories Through Art, a public art initiative that celebrates Talent’s diverse histories through murals, installations, and storytelling. Community members also joined in hands-on creative activities, including decorating their own OSTA tote bags, adding to a collaborative art piece outside Art Bop, and testing their knowledge of local art in a lively round of Public Art Trivia.

About the OSTA Project

Our Stories Through Art (OSTA) is a cultural placemaking initiative transforming community stories into public art. Through murals, installations, storytelling events, and an eventually an interactive Art Tour, OSTA is honoring Talent’s heritage and helping to create spaces that celebrate creativity, connection, and inclusion. This multi-year project is part of a broader effort to establish Talent as an Arts & Culture Destination, boosting the local economy and uplifting the stories that define our community.
