2nd Annual Talent Craft Crawl was a success!

A huge THANK YOU to all of the amazing vendors, artists, makers, musicians, volunteers, guests, and event sponsors who made the event possible! Including the incredible event organizers Awna and Joyce! We couldn't have done it without you and we can't wait for next year!


🧡  74 Vendors!


Over seventy vendors from around the Rogue Valley participated in the second annual Talent Craft Crawl.


💛  3+ Vendor Hubs!


Vendor Hubs included Old Town Park, the horseshoe in front of Talent City Hall, Library Commons Park, and a mini-hub at Art Bop Beer Co!


🧡  25 Volunteers!


Twenty-five community members came out and volunteered their time to support the event with set up, clean up, and information booth tables!


💛  10+ Other Fun Activities!


The Craft Crawl highlighted 10+ “other fun” opportunities around Talent - everything from the Garden Club plant sale to an Art Show at Gather Cafe!

“RARE” AmeriCorps Member coming to Talent in September

We're excited to share that in September, a RARE AmeriCorps member will be coming to Talent!


"RARE" stands for Resource Assistance for Rural Environments through the University of Oregon Institute for Policy Research and Engagement.


The RARE Member will be supported by TBA, Travel Southern Oregon, and the City of Talent, and they will be focusing on Talent’s ongoing economic revitalization to support the business community!


The mission of the RARE Program is to increase the capacity of rural communities to improve their economic, social, and environmental conditions, through the assistance of trained graduate-level members who live and work in communities for 11 months.

Coming to Jackson County: PIER Grant Funding for Fire-Affected Businesses

The Planning, Infrastructure, and Economic Revitalization (PIER) Program allocations have been finalized by OHCS and the PIER Selection Committee for Jackson County!


Below is a breakdown of the grant awardees, funded projects, and award amounts that will be coming to support our fire-impacted small businesses:


⭐️  Illinois Valley Community Development Organization (IVCanDO)

Project: Small Business Technical Assistance / Grants / Revolving Loan Fund

Award: $ 1,247,138


⭐️  SOU’s Small Business Development Center

Project: Small Business Technical Assistance

Award: $ 572,000


Fire-affected business owners may be eligible to apply for grants up to $15,000 or micro loans up to $50,000 from IVCanDO.


Malcolm Voyager with IVCanDO, is compiling an email list of all fire impacted micro businesses. Once IVCanDo receives PIER funding, businesses will be contacted.

Thank you to our April & May Networking Event Hosts!

April Business Mixer event hosted by Sound & Vision Wine Co.


The April 29th local business mixer was hosted at Sound & Vision Wine Co., where attendees toured one of Talent's newest businesses and met the owners, Carmen and Joe!


Over 30 attendees came to connect, network, and support each other and the business community. A huge Thank You to our hosts, Carmen and Joe of Sound & Vision!

May Networking Event hosted by Trustwell Living at Suncrest Place


On May 22, Talent Business Alliance had a wonderful business mixer hosted by Trustwell Living at Suncrest Place. Executive Director, Tina shared Trustwell Living's mission and vision with Talent business owners, gave the group a tour of their beautiful senior living facility, and spoiled everyone with some delicious hors d'oeuvres made by their incredible chef!


The highlight of the event was meeting Susan, one of the Trustwell residents, who shared her experience living there as well as some wisdom and a few really good jokes!
