About the Role


The Bilingual Business Specialist will play a central role in implementing TBA's Destination Development Strategic Plan, integrating destination development with micro-enterprise assistance across Southern Oregon. The position carries a particular focus on the communities of Talent and Phoenix.


Working within the hospitality sector - broadly defined to include lodging, food and beverage, travel, tourism, retail, and recreation - the specialist will provide individualized, one-on-one technical assistance to small business owners at every stage of development.


Position at a Glance


Title: Bilingual Business Specialist

Status: Part-Time (20–25 hours/week)

Compensation: Starting at $25/hour; $28/hour with 12% bilingual differential

Language Requirement: Fluent in English and Spanish (required)

Location: Southern Oregon, primarily Talent and Phoenix


What You'll Do


  • Provide hands-on business coaching in areas such as strategy, marketing, operations, HR, compliance, and financial planning

  • Assess each client's unique needs, help them develop action plans, and deliver ongoing support and mentorship

  • Organize workshops and small business education forums in both English and Spanish

  • Conduct outreach across the small business community and be a client advocate

  • Build relationships with regional economic development agencies

  • Track client progress and outcomes


Who We're Looking For


The ideal candidate brings a background in business development or a related field and has a genuine connection to the business community that TBA serves. Familiarity with the Southern Oregon region is a plus, and fluency in Spanish is essential.
